Tehran Says It May Return to American Atomic Discussions provided that Treated with 'Respect' and 'Respect'

Tehran is ready to resume atomic discussions with Washington on condition that it is approached with "respect" and "honor", Tehran's top diplomat has stated.

The Iranian diplomat declared exclusively dialogue produced results, and shared fresh requests had originated from intermediaries to resume negotiations with the American leadership. He said Iran possessed no secret atomic facilities, and Tehran was not yet able to allow the global atomic watchdog to inspect bombed nuclear sites for protective measures.

Walking a Challenging Course

The foreign minister is navigating a difficult course since Iran wishes not to appear to be acting from a position of disadvantage, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had arisen more resilient militarily and psychologically from the coordinated strike on its enrichment centers in June.

He was talking at a defense forum in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "a fundamental entitlement to refine atomic fuel on home soil that it will never give up" – the main reason of the deadlock in the previous talks.

Earlier Discussions Suddenly Terminated

The previous five rounds of talks between the United States and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and bitter conclusion on 12 June when the Israeli government, with American backing, targeted Iran's enrichment centers in a two-week conflict that ended with Donald Trump claiming the sites had been eliminated. Afterward, Western states used their authority to reimpose UN-wide sanctions, but Iran maintains they have not had a substantial consequence.

Magic Solution Proposed

Tehran representatives said they felt they had reached a "magic solution" to the uranium processing matter in prior discussions, when it was settled an Iran-based consortium with American involvement could enrich uranium. Each party would have been able to claim victory since home-based processing would have continued and the US could be certain that Iran's atomic project was solely for peaceful purposes.

It had not been decided in the talks that Washington's technical specialists could function inside Iran, but that was a logical implication of the partnership suggestion. Diplomats asserted three times they had achieved a deal with Washington's diplomat Steve Witkoff only for the deal to disintegrate due to "spoilers in Washington".

Present Situation

Iran's diplomats declared the consortium offer was now off the table, but it seems highly likely the proposal could be reintroduced in certain ways if negotiations reopen.

In his remarks to the conference, aimed to paint the US as a hegemonic power that abuses the concept of global regulations, Araghchi stated the two-week conflict showed the dispute could not be resolved by armed force. He said the strikes started with a American requirement for an complete Tehran capitulation and concluded with an unconditional call for a ceasefire.

Iran is certain the first strikes by Israel were carried out with total Washington understanding and coordination, making faith challenging to reestablish.

The foreign minister stated: "Tehran was not the one that had deserted dialogue; it was the United States and the Western nations that had repeatedly tried to enforce their demands during the discussions. Diplomacy can still be viable and remains the primary solution to resolve disputes, but its standards, regulations and fundamentals must be followed."

In what is described by Iranian officials as the battle of restoration and reconstruction, Araghchi stated he was confident Iran's defence capabilities "have significantly improved than before 13 or 14 June of this year. Our entire military infrastructure have been reestablished. We learned numerous insights from this conflict; we have discovered our personal limitations and the weaknesses of the enemy."

He stated: "We managed to survive this conflict. Our enrichment knowledge, which they aimed to destroy, remains in place. The installations and gear, if eliminated, will be restored; what is crucial is the will of the Iranian people and then the social solidarity that they sought to undermine, but failed to destroy. The nation of Iran have become more resilient, more cohesive, and more backing of the government and the state in the face of this assault."
